Gem, Furry Mischief on Four Feet!
|
|

|
So what did you expect? A dog dressed in a Santa Suit?
Rosalie commutes 35 miles to work. This time of year it's dark when she leaves and dark when she returns. To get any training time in at all she and the pup get together under the yard lamp!
Thankfully there are Saturdays, Sundays and days off. Here's some shots of agility training...

Hurdles, weave poles, teeter-totter, she's getting the whole nine yards. Gem likes moving games much better than holding still (no surprise there). Agility, herding, beating up on big white dogs -- all are preferred over obedience.
Even with the regimen practiced by Rosalie, there's time for just having fun. Here's a shot of her killing Kagan, the 125 pound flock guardian.

The herding shot below was take a couple of months ago. We have to keep Gem on lead now -- she can outrun the sheep and lacks the discipline to call off. Taking her to the herd now can turn a 2 minute flock movement into a 10 minute trial of your patience.
If Gem responds to control commands then she will be an excellent worker. Her instincts are good and her stamina is fantastic.
A guy could get exhausted just watching this pup run.
